We are able to provide sawn and machined to size timbers. FSC and PEFC hardwoods are available; please ask for more details when ordering.
We have extensive on site stocks of hardwoods and can offer an on-site bespoke machining service.

Ideal for Cladding. Popular for exterior applications such as Decking, Fences, Weather Boarding, Summer Houses, Gates and Sidings. Good for panelling and moulding as it has an ability to dampen vibrations, making it effective in reducing or confining noise.
Southern Yellow Pine
Southern Yellow Pine is reputed to be the strongest softwood structural timber species. Used for general joinery, especially staircase work. Also used for furniture, panelling staircases, bench seating, interior & exterior joinery, boat building, flooring, construction, spas and masts.
Vertical Grain Hemlock
Commonly used for a range of general joinery purposes including beams, flooring, exterior trims and sidings, furniture, joists, panelling, parquet floors and cabinet making.
Commonly used for cladding and joinery.It is ideal for exposed elevations or where there are likely to be knocks or scrapes as it is very hardwearing. It is also growing in popularity for floors, windows, door frames and furniture.
Thermowood is generally used for external joinery and external cladding, due to properties including high durability and excellent stability. Thermowood cladding in particular should deliver 30 years of service. It is particularly durable against being attacked by fungus.
Clear Douglas Fir
Ideal for all types of joinery applications including fascia, doors, millwork, window and door casings, mantels, stairs and baseboards. Although most softwoods are not suitable for flooring Douglas Fir will hold a finish, remain level, resist scuffing and cracking and maintain its appearance under extreme wear. The higher grades of Clear Douglas Fir, as stocked by Illingworth Ingham (M/cr) Ltd, are quite refined with sound, tight knots making it suitable for shelving, cladding and panelling.
Redwood timber is used for furniture, mouldings, joinery, kitchen cabinets, doors, panelling, construction and flooring. It is also often used as a teak substitute.
